It is an industry standard that courier consignments are charged at the greater of either weight or volumetric mass. Volumetric mass is calculated by multiplying the length, breadth and height (in centimetres) and dividing this by the applicable volumetric conversion factor (4000/5000/6000 depending on service type). So before you say we expensive to deliver a pool noodle which weighs less than a kilogram, remember the dimensions determine the weight and not the product itself.
Delivery costs - Different products have varying delivery charges all based on the metric explained above, meaning, the products delivery is on dimensions or weight, whichever is the greater. Once adding an item or items to your cart / trolley the delivery charge that is relevant will be automatically added to your products price. Where combinations of items with differing delivery charges are added to the basket the items incurring the greatest charge will become the default for the whole order and lesser delivery charges will be exempted rather than accumulated.

Our delivery methods are signed for services as part of our strict security policies. If no-one is available to receive the delivery it will be taken to you local delivery depot (postal or carrier, normally the post office) from where it can be collected or re-delivery arranged.
If delivery cannot be made by our delivering agent due to lack of access, no-one being available to sign for items or goods are not collected and subsequently returned to us you will be liable for both delivery and return costs incurred plus additional charges for re-delivery, or a 15% re-stocking fee if the order is cancelled. Costs being taken from funds to be refunded.
Gym Equipment and Fitness Equipment (larger items) not sent direct will typically go by 1 man, 2 man or pallet delivery and our usual quoted times are 7 to 10 working days though depending on seasonal variations and manufacturers stock levels this can often be much quicker and very occasionally longer but we will always inform you either way. Please also note most carriers will provide a kerbside (ground floor) delivery, as such items will be expected to be received and accepted as such.
Providing an order is received before 13:00 hrs on a working day orders can be shipped for delivery the following working day. Alternatively you can request a specific working day for delivery and we can send your order out for delivery on that day. (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
All goods delivered on behalf of AlanwakelintradinG by MDS Couriers are insured against damage during door-to-door transit/delivery. The receiver of the goods should carefully inspect all packaging for signs of damage or apparent damage upon receipt of goods. If the packaging is in anyway whatsoever, torn, crushed, missing in part or whole, or the goods themselves are damaged in anyway whatsoever, or missing in part or whole, then the third party Carrier's delivery note should under NO CIRCUMSTANCES be signed as 'Received in good condition' If the receiver of the goods is unsure or suspect about the goods having been damaged, then the third party Carrier's delivery note should not be signed! Instead, the receiver should clearly write on the delivery note 'GOODS RECEIVED DAMAGED' and include all details of the damage (including carton numbers, item descriptions and a description of the damage/missing parts). This is by no means going to allow a dispute if the goods are signed, good order and then after the receipt, a claim is instituted.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD THE RECEIVER ACCEPT ANY DAMAGED GOODS AND SIGN FOR THEM AS PER NORMAL DELIVERY. FAILURE TO INSPECT DELIVERED GOODS UPON ARRIVAL WILL INVALIDATE ANY CLAIM AGAINST THE CARRIER AND A CLAIM FOR COMPENSATION!
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer although, we will attempt as best we can to within 24 hours after you have place the order ensure delivery of the goods take place and attempt by all means to have the goods delivered to your door within 7 to 10 days. Once a clear payment has been received, a packing slip will be issued to you via mail which will have your delivery details and purchase details as well as the tracking number for the delivery which can be tracked at MDS courier Services. Please ensure these details on the packing slip are correct and inform us urgently if not so we can amend prior to despatch of the order. An invoice will be sent via mail to you for your own records and not accompany the parcel.
